Island Stories | Episode 7 – Charlotte Legge
- Island Life
Spence Willard are proud to support Island Stories,
bringing you the unique stories of those that live
on the Isle of Wight
This week on the podcast we’ve been inland to Island farming country to meet Charlotte Legg – founder of Duxmore Botanics – a line of natural body care and botanical home fragrance products. Describing herself simply as a ‘farmers wife’ – our chat revealed she’s certainly that – and much, much more.
Charlotte’s an Island girl, born and bred, and has only left to live on the mainland for a couple of years, before the coast and the countryside here called her home again.
Her connection to the land has inspired her range of products, while her expertise comes from more than a decade spent at the top of her game working on products for the famous beauty brand Liz Earle.
It’s a lovely, inspiring episode involving a few tears and a cameo appearance from one of Charlotte’s award-winning cows.
On the podcast we always ask the same quickfire 5 questions about the Island.
So here are Charlotte Legg’s 5 Island things:
1.Favourite place to eat or grab a coffee?
The Garlic Farm
2.Best place for a walk, swim or meditation?
Running over the Downs3.Favourite Island activity?
Managing the landscape4.Which Island charity is closest to your heart?
WightAid5.What do you love most about this island of ours?
